![]() So with the CIE94 formula when you stick two colors into it you get a number. I hope you enjoy and are able to make use of this collection. If they add more Umbra's I'll move Excal Umbra to it's own collection with the others. I plan on keeping this updated as DE adds new Primes. Will you be adding Limbo Prime next week? While I could make collections for Sentinels and Deluxe frames (or any frame really) ever since DE masked the default colors the only weapons I can pull color data from now are melee weapons. If you have one and are willing to help me collect the data I need please let me know!Īre you going to do Weapons/Sentinels/Deluxe frames? Sadly I do not own the coveted Excal Prime. You can enable and disable these palettes by going to Options > Gameplay > Legacy Color Palettes. ![]() If memory serves a rendering or UI bug caused the gamma for all palettes to be way off giving you far lighter colors then DE intended. Legacy palettes are the old original palettes from the early days of Warframe. But the colors in the collection will only be updated as new palettes are released. If another color looks closer to you then by all means use those. This is why all the images use a neutral background so as to minimize any additional color noise. Luckily the UI is not affected by things such as color correction or your color choices for your orbiter. The color of your frame can be influenced by your game settings and orbiter colors. Remember the dress fiasco from 2015? The collection focuses on maintaining color accuracy via the CIE94 formula to keep color choices impartial and unbiased. The human eye is naturally going to be an imperfect sensor and different people will see some colors differently than others. Yeah but -insert color here- looks more accurate versus what you've listed. Some colors (mostly energy colors) only had one available color and that was after searching more broadly for available colors. Unfortunately some colors are not as widely available in the various palettes as others. ![]() Some of these colors seem off, what gives? ![]() Using my reference image to locate similar colors and the CIE94 formula to determine which of those colors is closest to the target color. Using CIE94, a refined formula used to determine how similar two different colors are, and an updated and vastly improved reference image of available palettes. Ever wanted to use a non-prime skin but retain your prime colors? Recolor one prime as another? This collection has the closest matching colors for all Primes except Excalibur. I've always wanted to go back and improve on it and with this I finally have. Three years ago I released this image showcasing the closest matching gold colors for various prime items that were available at the time. ![]()
